Sarah and Grandma's Grand Adventures: The Pilgrimage of Light

Sarah sat next to her loving grandmother, watching the TV screen with excitement.

1

The screen showed thousands of pilgrims in clean white clothes circling the Kaaba.

2

"Who are these people, Grandma? And why are they all wearing the same white robe?" Sarah asked with curiosity.

3

"These are the pilgrims of Allah's house, my dear. They are in Mecca to perform Hajj, the fifth pillar of Islam," Grandma explained.

4

"Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik, Labbaik Laa Shareeka Laka Labbaik," the pilgrims chanted on TV, and Sarah asked about it.

5

"It means they respond to Allah's call, leaving their homes and seeking His pleasure," Grandma explained lovingly.

6

"They return purified, like the day they were born, with hearts as white as their clothes," Grandma continued, wiping Sarah's hair.

7

"I wish to grow up fast to go to Mecca with you and circle the Kaaba," Sarah expressed her longing.
