Apples and Years: A Tale of an Everlasting Bond

A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it every day. He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, took a nap under the shadow...

1

He loved the tree, and the tree loved to play with him. Time went by, and the little boy had grown up, and he no longer played around the tree every day.

2

One day, the boy came back to the tree, and he looked sad. "Come and play with me," the tree asked the boy.

3

"I am no longer a kid," the boy replied, "I do not play around trees anymore. I have so many troubles in my life, and I don't know what to do."

4

The tree listened to the boy, and he said, "I might not be able to solve all your problems, but you can always lean on me. You can sit on my trunk, rest and think about what to do."

5

The boy took a seat on the tree trunk, and he felt a sense of peace. He started to tell the tree his troubles, and with each word, he felt lighter and more at ease.

6

The tree offered the boy its branches to climb, giving him the ability to see the world from a different perspective. From atop the tree, the boy saw the world in a new light, and he found new solutions to his problems.

7

The boy left the tree, feeling grateful and renewed. From that day on, whenever the little boy needed help, he knew where to go. As for the tree, it was happy to have helped the boy once again, and it remained a steadfast companion to whoever needed it.
