Once upon a time, there was a little drop of water named Nada. She lived in a quiet, blue lake and loved to float under the sun.
1
One hot day, the sun shone very bright. Nada felt warm... and suddenly, she started to rise up into the sky as steam! She was evaporating!
2
Up in the sky, Nada turned into a tiny part of a cloud. She met other drops and they formed a big, fluffy cloud. βWe are part of condensation!β said Nada happily.
3
The cloud became heavy with water. Then... drip, drop! Nada fell from the cloud as rain. She was falling back to the earth β this was called precipitation.
4
Nada landed in a river and flowed quickly back to the lake. She smiled, βIβm home again!β This is called collection or runoff β the water cycle was complete.

π Think with Nada: Can you explain how the sun helped Nada start her journey? π Mini mission: Draw Nadaβs water cycle in your notebook!
