In a swampy bog, near a winding creek,
Lived a tiny toad with a color quite unique.
With skin like a lily pad, and eyes full of glee,
This was no ordinary toad, he was the Toady Toad, you see.
1
The Toady Toad felt bored, the bog was too small,
He wanted to see the world and have a ball.
And so he hopped along, with a leap and a stride,
To see what lay beyond the lilypads, far and wide.
2
To his surprise, he came upon a busy town,
Where people hurried and bustled, up and down.
He hopped on a bench, and looked around with a rush,
At the bustling and busy people, a noisy crush.
3
Suddenly the sky grew dark, and clouds filled the sky,
Raindrops fell with a pitter-patter, and the people scurried by.
Toady Toad searched for shelter, and he caught a sight,
Of an umbrella twirling around, in the hands of a knight.
4
The knight led Toady Toad to an iron gate,
That guarded a grand castle, on a hilltop so great.
They crossed the moat and entered with a pate,
To the great hall where royalty did await.
5
King and Queen sat on their thrones so grand,
With a grand feast laid out with dishes so grand.
Toady Toad was treated with a meal all so good,
And he ate to his heart's content, as much as he could.
6
To thank the kind knight, he took Toady Toad,
To a garden of wonders, with colorful flowers so bold.
Fairies flitting around, and butterflies with wings that glowed,
Toady Toad saw magic like he had never known.
7
Toady Toad's adventure was coming to an end,
He had seen the world and made a friend.
The knight had patience, he had been so kind,
Toady Toad knew what he had set out to find.
