Above His Donkey-ance: A Tale of Pride and Beastly Might!

Once upon a time, there was a horse who believed that horses were the supreme animals. He would strut around the field and boast about his beautiful mane and muscular build.

1

The horse’s favorite pastime was to gallop in front of the other animals, showing off his speed and grace. He would snicker at the donkeys who could barely keep up.

2

One day, a young donkey grazed nearby, and the horse couldn’t resist making fun of him. “Look at those long ears, and that scraggly mane!” he laughed. The donkey just ignored him and continued eating the grass.

3

But then, the horse got an idea. “Hey, donkey, do you know why horses are superior to donkeys?” he asked. “Because we are stronger and faster!” The donkey just rolled his eyes.

4

Then, a huge donkey walked into the field. He was unbelievably muscular and looked like he could carry ten horses on his back. The horse was immediately intimidated.

5

“Do you really think horses are superior, my friend?” the donkey asked. “Why don’t you try to find a single weak spot on my body?” The horse gulped and tried to back away, but the donkey was already standing in front of him.

6

The horse tried to find a weak spot on the donkey’s body, but his kicks and bites had no effect. The donkey just stood there and laughed. “You see, my friend,” he said, “we may not be as fast as horses, but we are just as strong and just as noble.”

7

From that day forward, the horse no longer boasted about his superiority. He had learned a valuable lesson: that it is not physical traits that make a being great, but rather, kindness and humility. The horse and the donkey became the best of friends, and the other animals in the field admired them both for their unique traits.
