Beary Good Friends: How a Grizzly Bonded with a Cub

In a solemn forest, one fine day Where the trees and the flowers all sway A young bear came out to play Not knowing what fate had to say

1

With a keen eye and inquisitive mind The bear explored all he could find Stumbling on a rabbit, a fox, and a hind His loneliness was far behind

2

The rabbit hopped, the fox cavorted The hind danced, the bear exulted A friendship was forged as they sported Their bond only grew, this the fates recorded

3

The rabbit shared his carrots to eat The fox showed him a trick, so neat The hind taught him to be sweet The bear learned to share and care, it was a treat

4

The bear then met his own kind Who ridiculed him, their demeanour unkind "Ganging with the prey, you're out of your mind!" The bear's heart broke, he felt confined

5

But his friends were not far behind Supporting him, they spoke their mind "His friendship with us is cleverly designed Together we are strong and intertwined!"

6

Slowly and steadily, it dawned on them Their prejudice made them feel condemned They saw the bear's bond, unblemished and stemmed Now they, too, wanted to be friends, making amends

7

The bear was elated, his heart overjoyed Seeing the forest, its creatures all employed In harmonious friendship, nothing to avoid A life of togetherness, each other's strength employed For the bear had indeed taught, love always gets deployed.
