A tale of mystery, darkness and a power outage, As the manager left, the thief broke in and took advantage. Eager to investigate, the officer sought to understand, Interviewing each guest with no clear suspect at hand.

With suspicion cast upon each guest in turn, The questioning began as they sought to learn, Of their whereabouts when the safe was taken from, With each answer given, the mystery continued to hum.

With the first guest interview complete, The next was brought in for the officer to meet, Sharing their story of being tucked in bed, A short tale and no leads on who was behind what had been said.

In quick succession, the third guest was interviewed, Their story shared, their innocence still not proven as true, Each interview bringing new facts to light, The thief had escaped the hotel without a trace in-sight.

As they sought out anyone guilty in this obscure art, The fourth guest's tale played, venturing the city park, Their alibi checked, their involvement denied, The mystery continued to elude, unsolved thus far to be eyed.

The last interview brought, the facts were scarce, Little to share, their story was done with little share, With each guest questioned, no leads found at all, The missing safe remained a mystery that unfurled its eternal call.
