There was once a fairy who didn't believe in fairies. "That's nonsense," she said. "There's no such thing as fairies."
2
One day, she was flying through the sky when she saw another fairy. "Hey!" she called. "I didn't know there were other fairies!"
"Of course there are," said the other fairy. "Where have you been?"
3
"I don't believe in fairies," said the first fairy. "I think it's all nonsense."
"That's ridiculous," said the other fairy. "If you don't believe in fairies, then what are you?"
"I don't know," said the first fairy. "But I'm not a fairy."
4
The other fairy was so surprised that she flew away. The first fairy was left all alone.
5
She flew for a long time, but she couldn't find any other fairies. She began to wonder if she had been wrong. Maybe there were no other fairies. Maybe she was the only one.
6
Just when she was about to give up, she saw another fairy! "Hey!" she called. "I thought I was the only one!"
"Of course not," said the other fairy. "Where have you been?"
"I don't know," said the first fairy. "But I'm glad I found you."
7
"I don't believe in fairies," said the first fairy. "I think it's all nonsense."
"That's ridiculous," said the other fairy. "If you don't believe in fairies, then what are you?"
"I'm a fairy," said the first fairy. "And I'm glad to be one."
