Attempting to reconnect
Khaddojah lived in a land of monsters and few friendly creatures. She couldn't tell friends from foe.

She wandered, looking for a place to hide. The monsters terrified her, and she longed for safety.

As she sat by a lake, she pondered why the monsters lived in her land. A tear slipped from her eye.

A beautiful butterfly alighted on her hand, giving her hope. Khaddojah smiled and thanked the butterfly.

She saw a creature that wasn't like the monsters. It smiled at her. "Friendly," Khaddojah whispered.

The creature led her to a cave. "This is my home," the creature whispered. "You can stay here."

Khaddojah fell asleep, the creature keeping watch. Monsters couldn't get in this cave, and she was safe.

The next day, her new friend led her to other friendly creatures. Khaddojah was happy, for she had found a home.
