But as she got closer, she saw the door was slightly ajar, and a large, hungry wolf was standing outside, wearing her grandmother's nightcap.

Just as the wolf was about to enter the cottage, a brave woodsman appeared, wielding a sharp axe, ready to protect the girl and her grandmother.

The wolf fled into the forest, and the girl ran into her grandmother's arms, grateful to be safe and sound once more.
