So he practised, so hard, with his small, short arms, He flapped them harder and harder, to grow his wings like charms. The harder he flapped, the more he tried, But alas, every time, he fell with a bump, a sigh.

But then he found a stack of books and began to read, Of gliders and planes, and how wings could feed The dream to fly without balloons or ropes, Instead with the power of wind, nature's many notes.

So he tried once again, with all his might, And built a glider from twigs and leaves, in the night. With a sturdy frame and wings that could hold, He took to the sky, soaring high and bold.

Now all the other animals were amazed and astounded, Watching this raccoon fly, in circles that were rounded. His new friends watched in awe as he glided past, Him being the first raccoon, to learn a thing so vast.

From that day on, the raccoon became known, As the one that flew high, and showed how it's done. And every critter heard his story afar, Of the raccoon that could fly, upon the wind like a star.
