Luna looked up at the night sky and saw twinkling stars. She wondered, “Where are we in all that space?” Mama smiled, “We live on a planet called Earth!”

Earth spins like a top and orbits the big bright Sun. It’s the third planet from the Sun — not too hot, not too cold! Just right for us to live and grow.

Luna said, “Earth is so round and blue!” Earth has land, water, and sky. All living things live here, even you and I!

Luna asked, “Is anyone else out in space?” She saw pictures of planets, stars, and maybe a rocket! “So much to learn!” she said.

Earth is our home in the giant universe. Luna hugged her planet globe. She whispered, “I wonder how Earth helps us every day?”
